Wadebridge 2020 Vision

Do you have photographs that show life in Wadebridge over the last year-and-a-bit?

Would you like to see them recorded for posterity?

Wadebridge Creative Hub is creating a book of photographs of Wadebridge through 2020 into 2021 – and you can contribute.

Wadebridge 2020 Vision was originally conceived as a year of photography, capturing the life of Wadebridge and surrounding area in and throughout the year 2020. As we all know, Covid-19 brought normal life to a juddering halt and the events we had planned to support the project became impossible.

So what we are now planning is a book of photographs of Wadebridge covering that period. Some of those photographs we already know about – thanks to everyone who contributed to our Facebook and Instagram pages – but now we are looking for more.

If you have photos of the last year-and-a-bit that you’d like to see recorded for posterity, please let us have them. This is open to everyone in Wadebridge and the surrounding area, and if you’re not a Facebook or Instagram user, or just missed our previous announcements, this is now your chance to participate.

We will contact our Facebook and Instagram contributors directly to ask them to submit selected photos.

Published photographs will be credited to the contributors, who will retain copyright. Everyone who contributes one or more photos to the book will receive a free copy and the opportunity to buy further copies at a reduced rate.

Photographs should be submitted via our on-line form: https://forms.gle/vVAUXmqY7DxPYNDx5

where you will also find the Terms and Conditions. This will ensure that we keep photographs and the information about them together.

We are not going to prescribe the sorts of photos you should submit. We just want them to reflect life as you saw it and lived it in Wadebridge, be it how you kept your business going, or what you saw on your exercise walks, or the way you celebrated your birthday, or all the things that you can think of and we can’t.

You can submit photos now.

If you don’t want to put your photos in the public domain in this way, hang on to them for the exhibitions during the year.

Wadebridge 2020 Vision is brought to you by Wadebridge Creative Hub.
