BikeLights day, Saturday 15th October 2016

Here is the latest information on the plans for the day of BikeLights. Please check our Facebook page for last minute updates.

The BikeLights site is the Piggy Lane car park, behind the Fire Station and Lidl in Wadebridge.

Site opens to the public at 1 pm. Street food available all afternoon and evening.

Drop-in bike decorating workshops from  1 pm.  Bring your bikes, pushchairs, mobility scooters and walkers  and get help and inspiration to decorate them to the theme “marvellous machines”. There will be artists to help with ideas and some basic materials, and strings of lights to buy for £3.50.

All afternoon the Pedal Emporium will offer bike powered fun with  smoothies, paint spinning and bubbles.

The cinema tent will be running a programme of bike themed films.

Approx 2 pm: Bike stunt display by ThinkBikes, London’s leading bike stunt display team.

6.15 pm decorated bikes start to assemble for procession in Lidl car park. Entry by donation, please pay what you can, we suggest a minimum of £1 per bike.

6.45 pm procession sets off on guided route through town-takes about 1 hour.

Approx 7.45 pm procession returns. All bikes to be parked in the Lidl car park holding area.

Approx 8. pm Special finale parade by schools’ projector bikes,  spectacular bikes and illuminated stunt display by ThinkBikes in the fenced off parade area in Piggy Lane car park.

Celebrations until 10.30 pm with DJ set and live set by Friday Funk Social Club.
