Wadebridge Creative Hub partnered with the Loop the Loop project and Cornwall Libraries to take part in Branching out, a project highlighting Wadebridge’s history as a railway town. A performance of ‘Past Connections- Future Journeys’ was performed by Wadebridge’s Brilliant Youth Dance Company, chorographed by Sarah Waller. Based on the stories of arrival and departure at the Wadebridge platform, the dancers created moving and beautiful series of stories, with just a hint of ‘Brief Encounter’.
Trains, Steam and Shadow, was a hands-on family workshop in the library with Reg Payn and Caroline Cleave, making train inspired art work to create new shadow puppets that celebrated Wadebridge’s connections to its once busy railway line. An informal performance followed at the Betjeman Centre alongside the dance.
