BOARD CALL OUT!

Could you help Wadebridge Creative Hub with its finance or website roles? New Board members required!

Wadebridge Creative Hub invites expressions of interest from individuals based in the North Cornwall area to join our Board of Directors. In particular, we welcome expressions of interest from those with experience in finance, accounting and book-keeping to take on a Treasurer role; and individuals with website and/or WordPress skills to take on a Website Management role.

 

Background

Wadebridge Creative Hub (Wadebridge Creative Cultural CIC) was formed in 2013 to bring together artists, writers, scientists, musicians, engineers, designers, makers, sculptors, dancers – creative people of all kinds – to organise inclusive celebratory projects and events in Wadebridge and the surrounding area. We undertake activities that benefit the community and nurture & expand creativity in Wadebridge and surrounds, helping to develop a significant and vibrant cultural network accessible to all. Our current key project is BikeLights, an annual, illuminated bicycle-based community procession/event, which takes place each October subject to funding, and we also have smaller projects as part of our portfolio of activities.

 

Details

The Treasurer role would involve: maintaining the accounts and records of the organisation, working with fellow Board members and project staff; working with an external accountant to prepare and lodge annual accounts; financial reporting and helping the organisation to fulfill its legal responsibilities to its funders and to Companies House.
 
The Website Manager role would involve: working with the Board and project teams to update and maintain our web presence and social media presence, particularly relating to our key projects.
 

Remuneration

Both roles are voluntary but with the option of freelance payment for some elements of these roles, specifically relating to the delivery and reporting of our key projects.
